Formula
Volume = area × joint plan ratio × filled depth
The repeating tile-plus-joint module determines the grout share before waste.
Calculation steps
- Normalize surface and dimensions.
- Calculate the repeating joint share.
- Multiply by filled depth.
- Apply waste and density or coverage.
- Round to whole packages.
Worked example
For 10 m² of 300 mm square tile with 3 mm joints and 6 mm filled depth, geometry mode calculates the joint space before product-specific waste.
